Community Building
One of the greatest resources any WBL professional can have is a network of other experienced practitioners, and ElevateWBL is building a community of these leaders and giving them the tools they need to connect. We support this in two ways:
Monthly Virtual Meetings
Our first initiative is to hold monthly virtual meetings, open to all ElevateWBL users, centered on a theme or topic. These are not expert-led presentations, though there may be some introductory content provided for context. Instead these are moderated discussions among peers on topics such as:
- Reaching new partners online
- Doing WBL in rural settings
- Managing effective advisory boards
- Tracking and reporting data
Two Minute Tips
To stay connected with users we send an email twice a month with a quick tip that will help you engage partners, deepen connections or improve your WBL activities. Many of these tips are pulled from existing materials in the library and guide the reader back to the full resource. Each email includes one tip for educators and one for administrators so that everyone gets some value and stays connected.
We are also exploring options such as a member directory and a user bulletin board for hosting discussions. Stay tuned for more ways we can help to bring people together!
